Terryn Choat
Experienced Dietitian for Seniors in Auckland
With over a decade of experience in elderly nutrition, I provide personalised support for older adults, whānau, and residential care facilities across Auckland—because good food helps people flourish at every age.

Specialist in elderly nutrition, based in Auckland
I’m Terryn, a registered dietitian with a passion for supporting older adults.
I’ve been working in aged care and seniors’ nutrition for more than 10 years - first as a subcontractor to some of New Zealand’s largest Aged Residential Care providers, and now as an independent dietitian offering direct support to individuals, families and facilities.
I’m based in Auckland and specialise in helping people aged 65+ navigate complex health challenges through practical, tailored dietary advice.

Why I chose to focus on older adult nutrition
I didn’t plan to specialise in this area—but once I started, I never looked back.
Over time, I realised how often older adults are overlooked when it comes to health and nutrition. It frustrated me to see people treated like a checklist, rather than as individuals who deserve dignity, care and support in their later years.
It doesn’t need to be expensive to access good quality, specialist nutrition support.
I often think about my own parents and about the kind of care I’d want for them, and for myself in the future.
That’s what drives me: ensuring that nutrition isn’t just about compliance, but about wellbeing, confidence and quality of life.
You deserve to age well - with support that sees and values you.
